Subject	How to test consult connector?

Message	I purchased ConZult and a cable for it, but it will not connect to my car. I tried another Z and it worked perfectly. Can't find anything in the service manual about testing/diagnostics for the consult system..any way I can do some tests to pinpoint the problem?
